You are in the salon almost from the beginning, what have changed?
A lot of things! Salon is in the same place but much bigger then it was before. We started with only few hairdressers and now we have much bigger team and the whole salon expanded into something more successful. It got a huge reputation. We all put a lot of energy and our lives in it.
And how did you change?
If I can be honest, it was the best school of life for me. It changed me professionally and personally, all positive of course. I feel like I became a very skilled hairdresser and professional on so many levels. And I am proud of that. I have a lot of experience, mainly from all the hairdressing shows and runways in all over world. I will never forget them, the energy and adrenaline we got back from it was unbelievable. Petra is an inspiration and someone I admire a lot. Though I am more focused on my family and children now. I did have to put job on hold, but I do still come back whenever I can and do it mainly because I love it so much.
You are dedicated to your children but do you also ‚educate‘ young generation of hairdressers?
Yes, educating is very important in our salon. You are always working on getting better, we all work on ourselves. I like mentoring them and passing on my own experiences, good and bad and how you learn from your mistakes. I specialize on creative hairstyles and advanced hair-dyeing.
Do you have any other hobbies than work and children?
Well, there is not much time for something else and most of my activities are with my family. However, I like snowboarding and ice skating in the winter and roller skates, trips and boat rides in the summer.
