How is it to be a hairdresser and a boss nowadays and how do you feel in both positions?
As a hairdresser, I am imagining and creating what I feel my clients would want. So it’s me who is making the decision and I am standing behind my opinion. Being a boss is much harder and even after 20 years I am still learning how to be a good boss. There has to be certain rules, unity, but at the same time every hairdresser is completely different. I am trying to adapt to each one and that is not the easiest thing in a team of 23 people. Of course that I have a vision about how my brand should work – in artistic and operating way, and I have no problems to make it clear. The salon wouldn´t work without it.
What do you most appreciate on your team?
Mainly, I appreciate how everyone can hold together and be as one, even though they’re all different. They support each other, work together, learn from each other and help whenever they can. They are the biggest inspiration for me and for themselves as well. It makes me happy to watch them together. It is a living organismus and I am very proud of them.
