Communication in English is not foreign to her.
Can you even imagine being something other than a hairdresser?
I wanted to be a nurse as a child, but I was scared of blood. I do care about other people, it makes me happy just like working in a team. This is why job is fulfilling my life. I wouldn’t change a thing. I want to do this job forever or as long as I can!
Where do you get the energy?
Nature, yoga, cooking or sleep, that works for me. Sometimes I need to slow down and re-charge. Being a hairdresser is manually and mentally demanding job, with that I also take care of a handicaped son, so sometimes I really need my own time to have a deep relax.
What is your favourite discipline?
I have a long practise and after all these years I know I can do anything. So besides cuts, which I love and I am striving for perfection with each one of them, I enjoy focusing on the final touch – styling. It is the most important part for the perfect finish, after colour and cut, where you actually make everything come together as one.
You’ve been with Petra for over fifteen years, don’t you get bored being in one salon only?
Absolutely not! There is always something happening here, there is so much creativity and a huge collective. We all inspire each other and push ourselves forward. Clients are more demanding thanks to the great reputation we have, so each day is a challenge, not a stereotype. Petra succeeded with making our hairsalon as a haven for new and old hairdressers. So I can imagine staying here another fifteen years.
