Communication in English is not foreign to her.
How did you get to being a hairdresser?
My mum works in a school for hairdressers. But before that I really wanted to be an automechanic. But they didn’t want me there as a girl. I always loved working with my hands, create something, I was drawing a lot and I was cutting my classmate’s hair since 8th grade.
Which paths lead you to Petra?
Well, it was very difficult. First I tried to have my own hairsalon right after I left school. Then I was giving my energy to gastronomy for about five years, but finally I went back to hair. I even tried a job as a mentor. I like the problematics of hair and the psychological extent of working with people. I was watching Petra since I was in school. And I always liked the way how she is working with hair. Her style is very close to mine.
Do you have any ambition to compete or any other goals?
I’m very happy that I can work here under Petra’s leadership and to be surrounded by my colleagues. Every day is different and it brings joy to me and to our clients. These are my ambitions. I don’t have to be the best on the world or be on top positions. I am happy where I am and where my clients are happy with hairstyles from me. It is the biggest gift of all, when your client looks in the mirror and remembers you as the person who did their hair.
Do you have any other favourite place or favourite type of relaxation?
I love nature. Also working with my hands or cooking relaxes me a lot. Hiking and climbing on rocks, cottage in the middle of nowhere – these are places where I feel great and I relax ideally with my dog and boyfriend by my side. While we talk about nature, one of my favourite things I do to relax is when my collegues dye my hair with Botanéa, which is natural.
